Developing a Plan

August 6, 2020

Thank you Living Hope for completing our reopening survey, and hey, we heard you! We are working hard to come up with a new plan that will incorporate some sort of live element to Sunday mornings. We don’t know exactly what Sunday will look like yet, but as we work out the details, we will prioritize as much live service as we can. We will still maintain our online services, so those of you who cannot come in person, can still join online with us. Stay tuned for more info.

If you call Living Hope home, please fill out our re-opening survey. Email for more info. Survey links have been emailed out to our mailing list.

We are putting together a reopening survey. This will be emailed out this summer. This will help staff and council get an idea of what you as a congregation are looking for, as well as help the congregation understand what our new services will look like.

Dear Living Hope Family,

After careful consideration and prayer, Admin Council has made the decision that we are not ready to re-open the building for worship services until September.  This decision was not done lightly.

We have been studying guidelines and protocols by Public Health, from the Christian Reformed denomination, our Classis Quinte and other agencies.  We hope you understand that the re-opening of the building will require careful planning. Protocols are presently being developed for the different stages of opening up our building.

Another consideration is with the summer months, our staff will be away, taking their well deserved holidays. With the re-opening of the building, we will need many volunteers to be trained and perform many different tasks to keep the building clean and safe for our families.  Prayerfully consider if you would be willing to serve on a team.

Admin Council will continue to monitor the ever changing guidelines and look at all possible scenarios for the re-opening of the building. Thank you for your prayers and patience.  As the body of Christ, may you continue to show God’s love to those around you.

Hello Living Hope,

Many of you may have heard the breaking news that Premier Ford announced that churches may open for worship starting June 12th with a 30% capacity.  This is exciting news!  However it comes with many questions as to the protocols that need to be in place before opening the doors.

Admin council, with input from the staff, realized that we were not ready to safely meet for worship.  We will meet virtually this coming Sunday for worship. Admin Council will be meeting on Wednesday to reassess the situation.  Thank you for your patience and prayers as we strive to put into place protocols that will keep our family safe and healthy.

Hello Living Hope and Peterborough!

Staff and Council are hard at work developing a reopening plan, a set of protocols. We are looking at all the ways and stages we can safely reopen our building. As we take our cue from the Provincial government, health officials, and our denomination, we prepare for the various stages of opening that will be available to us.

Until that time, we continue to connect via video conferencing, phone, text and email. We continue to pray, praise, minister and administrate! Our services are available at 8 am Sundays, on our youtube channel, or right here in virtual services.

Church and Fellowship in a time of isolation. This is a challenging time for churches to try to figure out how best to serve not only their regular attenders, but how to reach out to the community around them. As we move to an online structure, that human element is still needed. Please check out our various virtual services shown at the top of the website. However, if you require prayer or need to talk to someone, we are still here for you. Whether or not you have ever visited us in person, we want to support you during this time. If you have any prayer requests, we have a dedicated group of people who are committed to pray over these concerns. If you would like a phone call by one of our elders, or if you would like to be included in any of our regular emails, we can help. Please email our office using the contact us page, or by emailing and let us know how we can help.
